Here is an old fashioned recipe for Five Minute Fudge. It's made with evaporated milk and marshmallows.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 2 Pounds or 64 or less pieces

Ingredients:

  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ----
  • 2 cups (4 ounces) miniature marshmallows
  • 1-1/2 cups (9 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, lightly toasted

Preparation:

Line an 8-inch square pan with foil. Butter or lightly spray foil. Combine first set of ingredients in a heavy sauce pan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until mixture begins to boil. Once boiling stir constantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients. Working quickly, stir continuously until marshmallows are melted. Immediately, pour into prepared pan. Once cool, remove foiled Five Minute Fudge from pan. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
