Snickerdoodles

Kids of all ages love Snickerdoodles.

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cinnamon-Sugar mixture

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease your cookie sheet. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. In a small bowl, combine flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt using a wire whisk. Gradually add flour mixture to shortening mixture until completely combined. Roll dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Dip into cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake two inched apart for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
