There's a rule. If there aren't enough eggs for everyone, then it's time to make French Toast. Even better add to that I had an almost stale French Bread loaf half and some aging eggnog; voilà ! it's Eggnog French Toast.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 05 minutes
Ingredients:
- 6 to 8-inch day old loaf French Bread, cut into 1-inch slices
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup (apprx.) eggnog
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- oil for pan
- maple syrup
Preparation:
Heat lightly oiled frying pan. Break eggs into measuring cup. Double liquid amount in cup by adding eggnog. Add nutmeg. Whisk together. Pour into shallow bowl. Dip bread into bowl; coating both sides. Fry until golden brown. Serve warm with syrup.
Servings depend on number of slices.
